At the centre of Evgenia’s artistic practice is the human being. Most often—a woman. She explores how people think, experience emotions, and search for their sense of self. They are depicted in various states: contemplative or joyful, in love or detached. The plasticity of the female form, its texture, and its beauty largely define her artistic language. Evgenia primarily works with painting and graphics. The foundation of her artistic method is built on academic techniques acquired during her years of study at the Stroganov Academy. However, she deliberately simplifies forms. Her works cannot exist without the dynamics of colour—it is colour that creates the bodily fluidity of her heroines, who are often devoid of individuality but never of emotion.
Evgenia was born in Moscow in 1998.She graduated from the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry.Since 2023, she has been a resident at the Free Workshops School of Contemporary Art at MMoMA.
